Credentialed Medical Assistants (RMA/CMA/CCMA) will also be considered. Previous experience in a medical office is strongly preferred.
Toledo Clinic is offering a $2,000 Sign-On Bonus to qualified Medical Assistants. Sign-On Bonuses are payable within 30 days of hire to employees that have active and verified credentials (ex: RMA/CMA/CCMA/CPCT/A). For candidates that have not yet obtained or need to renew their credential, the Sign-On Bonus is payable once the credential is obtained and verified. After one year of service, qualified Medical Assistants will be eligible for an additional $2,000 Retention Bonus.
General Summary:
The LPN is a licensed practical nurse who assists physician(s) with patient treatment, prepares patient for physician(s), and performs various clerical duties in the office.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
1) Assist Drs. with patient care (i.e.: assisting with minor procedures/surgeries such as removing sutures, staples, moles, etc.).
2) Escorting patients to exam room.
3) Preparing exam rooms.
4) Preparing patient for Drs. (i.e.: histories, blood pressure, vitals, etc.).
5) Sterilizing and preparing instruments.
6) Administering injections.
7) At the request of the physician, calling in prescription refills.
8) Order and maintain exam room supplies and instruments.
9) Follow up with lab work and/or xrays.
10) Various clerical duties (i.e.: answering phones, scheduling appointments, handling patient charts, etc.).
11) Other duties as assigned.

Required:
- Excellent interpersonal skills required.
- Consistently arrives at work, in professional attire, on time and completes all tasks within established time frame.
- Seeks appropriate tasks when primary tasks are completed and assists co-workers as needed.
- Demonstrates adaptability to expanded roles.
- Current State LPN licensure required or MA credential (RMA/CMA/CCMA)
- Adheres to all clinic policies and procedures.
Education:
-Practical Nursing education or MA Certification
Preferred:
-Previous experience in a medical office
