About the Role:


As a Licensed Irrigation Technician, you will be responsible for the comprehensive installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of irrigation systems for residential and commercial properties throughout Miami-Dade County. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring optimal water distribution, system efficiency, and the overall health of the landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation: Accurately install new irrigation systems, including piping, sprinkler heads, valves, controllers, and backflow prevention devices, adhering to design specifications and local codes.
  
  
• Maintenance: Perform routine preventative maintenance on existing irrigation systems, including seasonal adjustments, head cleaning, and system checks.
  
  
• Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose and repair complex irrigation issues, such as leaks, clogs, electrical malfunctions, controller programming errors, and poor water coverage.
  
  
• System Optimization: Implement water-saving techniques and recommend system upgrades to improve efficiency and reduce water consumption.
  
  
• Customer Service: Professionally interact with clients, providing clear explanations of services, addressing concerns, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  
  
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and system configurations.
  
  
• Compliance: Ensure all work complies with Florida State and Dade County irrigation codes and regulations.
  
  
• Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while on job sites.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Valid Florida State Irrigation Contractor License (SCC).
  
  
• Valid Dade County Irrigation Certification.
  
  
• Minimum 1 year of proven experience as an Irrigation Technician.
  
  
• Strong knowledge of irrigation system components, hydraulics, and electrical principles.
  
  
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing various irrigation systems (e.g., conventional, smart, drip).
  
  
• Familiarity with local Miami-Dade water restrictions and conservation practices.
  
  
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  
  
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  
  
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  
  
• Valid Florida Driver's License and a clean driving record.
  
  
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  
  

Preferred (but not required):

• Bilingual (English/Spanish).
  
  
• Experience with specific irrigation brands/technologies.
