Inspector

Katy Spring & Mfg., Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our Quality Control team. This essential position plays a key role in ensuring that incoming materials, in-process parts, and finished products meet both internal standards and customer specifications.

The ideal candidate enjoys working with precision inspection tools, has experience in a manufacturing or shop environment, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented workplace committed to quality and continuous improvement.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform First Article, In-Process, and Final Inspections of components and assemblies.
• Use a variety of precision inspection tools including calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, protractors, radius gauges, squareness blocks, force testers, pin gauges, and customer-provided instruments.
• Collect and analyze quality data, including Statistical Process Control (SPC) metrics and capability studies.
• Create and maintain accurate inspection documentation in line with customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in shop or manufacturing inspection preferred.
• Proficient in reading blueprints and using measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, optical comparators).
• Familiarity with First Article and Final Inspections, SPC practices, and general inspection procedures.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly Pay: $18.00 – $22.00 (commensurate with experience)
