Marketing & Business Development Intern - Now Hiring

Overview

Varada Consulting is looking for a detail-oriented and dependable intern to support both our Marketing and Business Development teams. This is a great opportunity for someone eager to gain hands-on experience in content creation, communications, and operational support at a fast-moving defense tech company.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Support

• Upload blog and news content to our website via WordPress

• Assist with basic graphic design using Canva

• Draft and schedule social media posts

• Help maintain and update the content calendar

• QA and organize email nurture sequences in Mailchimp or HubSpot

• Manage marketing files, images, and decks in SharePoint

• Attend weekly check-ins with the Marketing Director

• Track demo and event submission opportunities

Business Development Support

• Organize and move files within SharePoint folders

• Format and maintain the proposal content library

• Apply naming conventions and clean up outdated materials

• Provide general administrative support to the BD team as needed

What We’re Looking For

• Strong writing and communication skills

• Familiarity with Canva, WordPress, or basic email platforms (Adobe Illustrator is a plus)

• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, especially Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

• Highly organized and comfortable managing shared calendars and documents

• Interest in national security, defense, or government innovation is a bonus

• Proactive, curious, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
