Compass Health is seeking a Family Support Partner to join our Island & San Juan WISe Team—a passionate and collaborative group dedicated to empowering families and caregivers of youth with complex behavioral health needs. Your lived experience as a caregiver makes you a uniquely powerful resource in helping families heal and thrive.

About the WISe Program

WISe (Wraparound with Intensive Services) is a high-impact program serving Medicaid-eligible youth (up to age 21) with serious emotional and behavioral challenges. Services are delivered in natural settings like homes, schools, and communities to keep families together and reduce out-of-home placements.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver strength-based, individualized support.

• Use your own lived experience to build trust and connection with caregivers.

• Coach families in navigating systems (mental health, schools, child welfare, etc.).

• Help caregivers find their voice and build skills to advocate for their child’s needs.

• Provide flexible support in homes, schools, and community spaces—some evening/weekend hours required.

What You’ll Bring

• Required: High School Diploma or GED

• Preferred: AA or BA in a related field

• Must be 21+ years old

• Must have lived experience as a parent/caregiver of a child with behavioral health challenges

• Completion of Certified Peer Counselor online training (or willingness to complete upon hire)

• Valid WA State Driver’s License & insured vehicle

• Child development and parenting strategies

• Trauma-informed and recovery-oriented care

• Community resources for families

• Ability to hold boundaries while offering hope

• Comfort working with culturally diverse families

• Computer and EMR skills (we’ll train you!)
