Behavioral Instructor/Open Arms Lonoke

This position provides care and supervision to meet the safety and health needs of our residents. The staff serves as a role model for our residents.
Responsibilities
Supervises residents providing a safe, secure and positive environment where residents’ physical and emotional needs are met.
Instructs residents in problem solving, communication, socialization emotional educational and life management skills.
Always maintain professional boundaries
Transports residents safely and in accordance with agency policies in agency vehicles as needed.
Coordinates and documents all information regarding patient behavior, level of functions, emotional status and current team member interventions complete all documentation before the end of their shift.
Must be physically able to perform Crisis Intervention Preventions (CPI) as needed.
Completes any additional duties that may be assigned in a timely manner.

Knowledge Skills & Abilities
Strong written and verbal skills, ability to read analyze and interpret professional journals, technical procedures and government regulations.
The ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, residents, licensed associates, and the public.
The ability to define problems collect data establishes facts and draws valid conclusions.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Team members are required to sit, stand, talk, walk and reach with hands and arms. You must be able to personally restrain residents using CPI.
Education
High School Diploma or GED

Experience
Caregiving 1yrs

Schedule
10 hrs.
8 hrs.
Overnight
Weekends
