Position Title: Director of Technology

Position Overview

Our Client is seeking a hands-on, strategic Director of Technology to lead and evolve our enterprise technology environment across infrastructure, data, ERP, and integration platforms. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring the security, performance, and scalability of our systems while leading a technical team that supports business operations across manufacturing, eCommerce, warehousing, and corporate environments.

This role is ideal for a well-rounded IT leader who thrives in a fast-paced, mid-sized company environment and is capable of overseeing both day-to-day technical operations and long-term digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Infrastructure & Security

• Oversee network, server, data center, operating systems, and hardware environments to ensure performance, security, and stability.
• Maintain security protocols, patches, and threat mitigation measures to protect enterprise and customer data.
• Lead cloud migration strategy and management, with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
• Manage technology vendor relationships and ensure adherence to SLAs.

Enterprise Applications & Integrations

• Lead technical aspects of Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP, including customizations and vendor coordination.
• Oversee integration strategy using Dell Boomi across platforms such as Shopify, TrueCommerce EDI, Salsify, Manhattan Scale WMS, and more.
• Support continuous improvement and optimization of enterprise applications and integrations.

Data & Business Intelligence

• Supervise the architecture and management of the data lake, data warehouse, and Power BI platforms.
• Ensure data integrity and availability for reporting and analytics across business functions.
• Lead a small BI team in building, maintaining, and delivering enterprise reporting solutions.

Team Leadership & Operations

• Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary technical team, including Help Desk, Systems Admins, Developers, and BI Analysts.
• Provide leadership across multiple functional areas such as infrastructure, application development, BI, and end-user support.
• Oversee technical project planning, budgeting (CapEx and OpEx), and resource allocation.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, including team management
• Strong experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and supporting enterprise business applications
• Hands-on knowledge of modern IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and cloud technologies
• Familiarity with BI and integration platforms such as Power BI and Boomi
• Experience managing external vendors and support partners
• Excellent communication and cross-functional leadership skills
• Background in manufacturing, distribution, or consumer products industry a plus
