Housing Coordinator
Department: Mental Health Recovery Services
Program: Adult Community Clinical Services (ACCS)
Location: Northampton, MA
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9a-5p
Pay Rate: $22.90-$23.85 (Based on Experience)

About the Role:
As a Housing Coordinator on our Adult Community Clinical Services (ACCS) team, youll play a pivotal role in helping participants secure and maintain safe, affordable housing. Youll bring housing expertise to our interdisciplinary team, supporting individuals in their recovery journey as they move from homelessness to stability to independence.

What Youll Be Doing:
Housing Navigation & Access
  • Help participants complete and track applications for affordable housing opportunities.
  • Support individuals in applying for rental subsidies such as MRVP, AHVP, HUD Housing Choice Vouchers (Section 8), and local housing authority programs.
  • Assist participants in navigating tenant screening processes, including addressing barriers such as CORI, credit history, and housing court involvement.
Housing Stability & Retention
  • Assist participants in obtaining required documentation for housing placements and ongoing subsidy renewals.
  • Provide support around apartment upkeep, lease compliance, and subsidy requirements.
  • Offer mediation and conflict resolution support for roommate, landlord, and neighbor concerns.
  • Help participants acclimate to their communities, including understanding transportation options and neighborhood resources.
Team Collaboration & Documentation
  • Serve as a housing resource for the Integrated Team, sharing up-to-date knowledge of local affordable housing options and regulations.
  • Attend team meetings, supervisions, and required trainings.
  • Complete all documentation in accordance with program expectations and regulatory standards.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by leadership.

What You Bring to the Table:
  • Bachelors degree in a related field strongly preferred
  • Experience supporting individuals with mental health recovery required
  • Prior work in housing placement or support services preferred
  • Experience with de-escalation techniques a plus
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills, especially around conflict resolution
  • Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and good driving record required
  • Proficiency in computer use and digital record keeping
