Reports To: Route Supervisor

Pay: $35.05-$46.73/hr.

We are seeking an experienced, successful, and engaged Driver to join our team. This position is expected to work out of our office at 375 Industrial Road in Watsonville and limited job-related travel may be required.

Position Summary:

GreenWaste is seeking to fill the position of Driver to provide support to one or more facilities. The role’s main function includes driving and collection of materials from residential and commercial customers.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• To collect a wide range of materials from customers, recyclables, garbage, yard waste and construction related materials.
• To maintain a current driver's license and medical certificate.
• Making sure that all assigned equipment is safe and is operable for collection.
• Making sure that the vehicle has current registration along with all safety equipment.
• All paperwork needs to be filled out correctly and turned in on a daily basis.
• To wear assigned uniform and to be always professional with co-workers and customers.
• To always abide by state and local laws.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• To be able to operate and maintain assigned vehicle.
• To physically push pull and lift objects up to 75bs.
• Good communication with supervisors and customers.

Qualifications:

• Maintain and have a current driver's license and medical certificate and an acceptable DMV record.
• Commercial license and medical certificate.

Language Skill:

Physical Demands:

• Able to lift-up to 75 lbs.
• Able to work an 8-hour shift with possible overtime of up to 4 hours on occasion.

Work Environment:

• Able to operate a garbage truck or loader for extended periods of time.
• Able to handle garbage carts, bins and drop boxes in various locations around the local area in all kinds of weather conditions.
