Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Board-Eligible/Board-Certified Critical Care Physician, you will join a well-established hospital-employed group at CommonSpirit Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga, TN and Ringgold, GA. Every day you will provide quality inpatient care for adults, immersing yourself in the critical needs of our most vulnerable patients. You will be instrumental in guiding patients through their most challenging health moments, from initial stabilization to managing complex recovery pathways. This dynamic role demands keen diagnostic skills and the ability to make rapid, informed decisions in high-stakes situations. This specific role offers an attractive 7 on / 7 off shifts (7am - 7pm) schedule, promoting a healthy work-life balance while ensuring consistent, high-level care for our patients.

To be successful in this role, you will be a Board-Eligible/Board-Certified Critical Care Physician with a dedication to providing high-quality care to critically ill patients in a dynamic hospital environment. 

  • Providing stabilizing and recovery-oriented healthcare services to critically ill patients.
  • Conducting thorough medical examinations and tests to accurately assess patient conditions.
  • Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
  • Managing complex medical conditions and life-sustaining therapies in the Intensive Care Unit.
  • Collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including nurses, specialists, and support staff.
  • Explaining patient conditions, health status, and necessary treatments clearly to patients and their families.
  • Participating in daily rounds and contributing to comprehensive patient care discussions.
  • Ensuring adherence to hospital policies, procedures, and best practices in critical care medicine.

Job Requirements

Required

  • MD or DO degree
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Critical Care
  • Ability to obtain an active medical license in state of Tennessee and Georgia
  • AHA ACLS and BLS certifications 
  • Neuro ICU or Cardiac ICU experience required
