We are on a journey of continuous growth - now looking for our next star - Designer-Softgoods.

This role, you will be involved in... bringing new designs and innovation to the mobile cooling category for the Dometic family of brands. Under the guidance of the Director of Design, this role will be responsible for contributing to all parts of the design process.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Create innovative concepts in the mobile cooling space
  • Provide in depth analysis into our consumers' behaviors, desires and needs
  • Study market behaviors and stay up to date on current trends
  • Deliver insights into color, material and form trends across different industries
  • Continually design, prototype and test concepts
  • Prepare manufacturer ready design documents
  • Be involved in every aspect of the design process from research to production
  • Assist the design team with workload overflow - applying color theory, print exploration, specification packages, and sales presentations
  • Work collaboratively and cross-functionally with multiple teammates and departments both domestically and internationally

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications

A suitable background would be a solid experience within the following qualifications and experiences:
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design or similar
  • 0-5 years' experience in industrial design and development of commercialized consumer products
  • Strong command of Adobe Suite, with an emphasis in Illustrator
  • 3D design tools a plus (SolidWorks, Rhino, Blender, KeyShot)
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%, both domestically and internationally
  • Proficient in Office suite

For roles based in California:

The starting base pay for this role is between $68,640 and $69,000. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, location, business needs, and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

For roles based in Texas:

Compensation for this role will be based on several factors, including but not limited to experience, skills, qualifications, location, and internal equity. Compensation may be adjusted in the future based on business needs and market trends.
