Job Description
SAFETY:
1) Understand and follow all safety procedures
a) Current on all safety trainings
b) Wears all required PPE when necessary (steel toe boots, safety glasses, ear plugs)
2) Understand Lock Out Tag Out procedures for assigned areas.
3) Perform duties according to OSHA guidelines, policies and procedures
4) Complete General Plant Safety Training within the first 8 weeks.
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
1) Operate Forklift to load lift table with assigned number of boards.
2) Review Control Unit to confirm required number of boards are properly loaded.
3) Start lift table to move boards to Gang Saw.
4) Visually inspect boards after cutting to identify and remove defective boards
5) Remove boards from Line Roller and stack boards on pallets according to size.
6) Operate forklift to move filled pallets from stack area to storage
7) Change blades on Gang Saw
EQUIPMENT KNOWLEDGE:
1) Gang Saw
2) Line Roller
3) Forklift
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
1) Must be able to lift at least 20lbs.
2) Must be able to work long periods while continuously standing, twisting, bending, reaching, and stooping.
3) Must be able to work environment which is dusty and noisy.
4) Must be able to work in plant environment with extreme seasonal temperatures.
