Position Summary
As a Server you would greet and serve guests in a friendly, professional manner according to Meadowood’s standards and procedures under the direction of the outlet manager. Servers provide the guests with the highest standards of food and beverage service, thereby creating long term, loyal customers.
Major Responsibilities & Work Activities:
- Serve guests and assist co-workers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Take beverage/food orders from customers.
- Handle special guest requests in a caring and attentive manner.
- Be responsible for collecting payment for all food and beverage served.
- Ability to run station through proper steps of service as detailed by departmental guidelines and direct Server Assistants to accomplish tasks.
- Attend departmental meetings and trainings as scheduled.
- Ability to converse professionally with guests.
- Display knowledge of service standards and procedures.
- Exhibit knowledge of cocktails, wine, beverage, and food menu.
- Two years food and beverage experience.
- Basic computer skills

- Detail oriented, paying close attention to accuracy and able to perform many diverse tasks concurrently.

- Must be able to maintain poise and self-control in stressful situations.
- Ability to actively listen and provide clear coherent responses to guest requests.
- Must be able to solve problems that relate to Forum and customer service.
Physical Setting
- Casual dining restaurant
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Able to carry trays of food and beverages up to 15 pounds.
- Constant walking, bending, light lifting for duration of shift.

Education, Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:
- Ability to become TIPS certified / Food Handler
Salary Wage Range:
- The starting hourly rate for this position is $17.50 - $18.50 per hour + Tips + Service Charge.
- This is the rate Meadowood Napa Valley reasonably expects to pay. Final compensation will depend on factors such as experience, education, and other job-related qualifications.
