Position Summary

The Journeyman Millwright will play a crucial role in maintaining, repairing, and improving the manufacturing equipment and systems to ensure smooth and efficient production operations. This role involves pipefitting, welding, small-scale fabrication, and precise alignment of belts and sheaves, supporting plant reliability and safety.

 Key Responsibilities

• Perform pipefitting duties including installation, maintenance, and repair of piping systems to support manufacturing processes.
• Execute welding tasks using appropriate techniques to fabricate and repair metal components as needed.
• Conduct small fabrication projects to support equipment modifications and upgrades.
• Align and adjust belts and sheaves to maintain optimal mechanical performance and prevent premature wear.
• Troubleshoot mechanical failures and perform repairs on machines and equipment, including hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to implement corrective actions and preventive maintenance strategies.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance work performed and communicate status updates during shift handovers.
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards during all work activities.
• Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns or equipment malfunctions to minimize production impact.

 Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Journeyman Millwright certification.
• Journeyman Machine Repair certification.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States (employment eligibility verification required at hire). Visa sponsorship is not available.
• Experience troubleshooting machines, including hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Schedule: Must be available to work off-shift hours as required by production needs.
