Seeking reliable, qualified candidates for a 4-6 month contract, Inventory position available immediately in Cambridge, MA!!

Duties include, but may not be limited to:

• Ensure that purchases are made in compliance with the business code of conduct and purchase guidelines.
• Source materials for best pricing by requesting several quotes from vendors.
• Source new vendors for cost reduction initiatives.
• Negotiate terms of purchase with vendors, i.e. Delivery time, expedites critical purchases.
• Tracking and logs orders from confirmation to receiving the good.
• Generate purchase orders (POs) with appropriate terms and conditions.
• Follow up with vendors on orders placed; verify delivery of items with Parts Coordinator (including back-orders).
• Monitor supplier / vendor performance to ensure quality of items purchased and service.
• Act as a liaison for vendors. (Vendor Management Inventory, Bidding, Product Requests, etc.,)
• Oversee the maintenance of necessary records (warranties, specifications, detailed drawings as needed).
• Work within budget & project guidelines.
• Partner with stock room attendant to coordinate purchasing and inventory activities, follow up on assignments – Forecast and Planning, Kitting, Standardization, 5S, Training, and other comparable tasks.
• Responsible of inventory database improvements, standardization, and upkeep.
• Audits the stockroom and takes actions based on outcomes.
• Generate weekly maintenance purchasing report detailing daily, weekly and monthly expenditures, number of PO’s generated or in process, current status of parts delivery and overall spending.
• Perform all duties in accordance with Cambridge Brands Inc. Food Safety and Quality Policy and Programs to ensure compliance with Regulatory Requirements, HACCP, GMP’s, SQF and Customer Specifications
• Perform such other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Management.

Qualifications include, but may not be limited to:

• GED, High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years procurement experience in mechanical inventory including maintenance, repair and operations.
• New and spare parts for manufacturing equipment and mechanical managing inventory.
• Strong administrative skills.
• Microsoft Office, Oracle and Tabware or other CMMS inventory software a must.
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
• Basic Math skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Independent problem solver
• Flexible and able to prioritize according to operational needs
• 5S familiarity (Lean Manufacturing) a plus.

Pay rate is $28.00 - $30.00, depending on experience. Immediate benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, and more!

Schedule is Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, OT as requested
