Effectively obtains samples from adults, newborns, children, geriatric patients, and patients with special needs. /span/lilispan style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;"Demonstrates ability in the care and handling of patients in all age groups including, but not limited to, consideration of the special needs and behavior of each respective group./span/lilispan style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;"For scheduled shifts requiring morning round duties, will consistently meet draw time requirements./span/lilispan style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;"For scheduled shifts at an outpatient draw site, will consistently meet the 2% error rate policy/procedure./span/lilispan style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;"Uses Mobilab for all Inpatient draws./span/lilispan style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;"Retrieves (if future/standing) and reviews submitted Outpatient lab orders to properly determine needed tests. Completes telephone orders appropriately. Receives in and distributes specimens to the correct areas in the Laboratory. Uses Laboratory Information System for ordering tests, reviewing results, using LABFAX to send results and other functions in the computer./span/lilispan style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;"Performs chores and completes the appropriate daily chore log documentation. /span/lilispan style="font-size: 12pt;"span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif;"Maintains daily equipment temperature logs and reports discrepancies to technologists/supervisor/lead lab assistant as needed. /spanspan style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif;"Restocks supplies (draw rooms/carts) at the end of each shift. /span/span/lilispan style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;"Fills supply orders for hospital/physician/lab draw sites as needed./span/lilispan style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;"Collects non-DOT urine Drug Screens according to laboratory protocol./span/lilispan style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;"Follows OSHA guidelines for safe handling and transportation of various laboratory specimens./span/li/ul Qualifications: p style="margin-bottom: .0001pt;"span style="font-size: 12pt;"strongspan style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif;"License/Certification:/span/strong/span/pullispan style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;"Phlebotomy certification preferred. /span/lilispan style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;"Valid Oregon driver’s license required.
