We are hiring strongSupport Service Workersnbsp;/strongto join us in growing the Athena House program, a woman and non-binary individual-only licensed and certified residential treatment program in Sonoma County that provides welcoming, recovery-oriented services to individuals with substance abuse issues. In this role, you will provide assistance to Detox Counselors, perform data entry and clerical tasks, clean and maintain the facility, take inventory of food and supplies andnbsp; maintain files.nbsp;This is an on-site, relief position./p p style="text-align:justify"nbsp;/p p style="text-align:justify"span style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif"strongWHAT YOU WILL DO:/strong/span/p pnbsp;/p ul li style="text-align:justify"span style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif"Enter data into systems ensuring the accuracy of data entered into those systems in accordance with predetermined protocols.nbsp; Provide other clerical support as directed including photocopying, compiling packets, etc./span/li li style="text-align:justify"span style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif"Cleaning duties such as washing dishes, vacuuming, moping, washing clothes and linens, and cleaning bathrooms, and ensuring the safety of the facility./span/li li style="text-align:justify"span style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif"Maintain an accurate inventory of client food, supplies and other facility needs. /span/li li style="text-align:justify"span style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif"Organize and maintain historical files in accordance with required retention standards./span/li li style="text-align:justify"span style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif"Monitor client status in and out of facility. Report any concerns to supervisor or Detox Counselor on shift./span/li li style="text-align:justify"span style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif"Be aware of facilities needs and report maintenance problems to supervisor./span/li li style="text-align:justify"span style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif"Maintain good boundaries and exercise confidentiality concerning clients./span/li li style="text-align:justify"span style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif"Participate in staff training and all staff meetings./span/li li style="text-align:justify"span style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif"Maintain structure of the facility and understand the mission of the program and always work towards it./span/li /ul h4Qualifications/h4brp style="text-align:justify"span style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif"strongWHAT YOU WILL BRING:/strong/span/p p style="text-align:justify"nbsp;/p p style="text-align:justify"span style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif"strongEducation amp; Experience:nbsp; /strongMinimum of a High School Diploma required. Must have proficient written and verbal communication skills. Experience in data entry and basic clerical functions of not less than one year.nbsp; Recent and/or relevant experience working with the population of the mentally disabled and/or dual-diagnosed population is preferred. Have proven knowledge and understanding of AA/NA Twelve-Step programs and resources. Certification as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor or currently in the process of obtaining the Certification (CAARH or other training approved by The State Department of Alcohol/Drug Programs) a plus./span/p p style="text-align:justify"nbsp;/p p style="text-align:justify"span style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif"strongSkills amp; Abilities:nbsp; /strongComputer literate with data entry skills at an intermediate level. Type 45 WPM, accurately. Ability to relate well with others, to balance many tasks and responsibilities simultaneously, to be empathic, warm, firm and supportive with clients. Possess and use good written and verbal communication skills. Possess a willingness and desire to learn and grow within this position and the program. Understand and know how to work as a team player. First Aid/CPR training/certification preferred. Valid California driverrsquo;s license with an insurable driving record preferred. Have at least two years continuous sobriety, if in recovery.
