GROCERY/RECEIVING CLERK

Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety./ph3Responsibilities/h3divul liReport all safety risks or issues, and illegal activity, including: robbery, theft or fraud/li liNotify management of customer or employee accidents/li liDevelop and train DSD Receiver back up/li liEnsure maximum security of receiving area/li liPractice preventive maintenance by properly inspecting equipment and notify appropriate department or store manager of any items in need of repair/li liReinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identify unsafe conditions and notify store management/li liEnsure proper temperatures in cases and coolers are maintained and temperature logs are maintained/li liAdhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines/li liStay current with present, future, seasonal and special ads/li liEnsure inventory management for all delivered product/li liProcess damaged/returned goods and complete/process paperwork/li liCheck condition, accuracy of quantity, pricing, and temperature of product received/li liEnsure shipping and receiving tools are working properly to provide a smooth transition of the products/merchandise into the store and inventory logs/li liMaintain an awareness of inventory/stocking conditions to capture ordering system integrity, including Computer Assisted Ordering/li liReport product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager/li liLabel, stock and inventory department merchandise/li liPromote trust and respect among associates, with a positive attitude/li liAbility to work cooperatively in high paced and sometimes stressful environment./li liAbility to manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational and cooperative manner./li liAbility to act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information./li liAbility to follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve customer and business issues./li liProvide support and assistance through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and/or older adults./li liMust be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation/li /ul/divh3Qualifications/h3divMINIMUM ul liAbility to collaborate and work cooperatively in a team-based environment/li liStrong attention to detail/li /ulDESIRED ul liAny receiving experience/li liSecond language (speaking, reading and/or writing)/li liFamiliarity with industry/technical terms and processes/li liExcellent oral/written communication skills/li /ul/divh2Company/h2divdiv Based in Portland, Oregon, Fred Meyer merged with The Kroger Company in 1998.
