This position is responsible for loading, unloading, and moving materials in a safe and effective manner, contributing to the overall productivity of the site. Operators will work closely with other team members to coordinate activities and ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget. Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols are paramount, as the operator will be responsible for maintaining equipment and performing routine inspections. The employee has the responsibility for his/her own safety as well as the safety of others./em/strong/ppstrongMinimum Qualifications:/strong/pulliHigh school diploma or equivalent./liliValid driver#39;s license and ability to obtain necessary certifications for operating heavy machinery./liliProven experience operating front end loaders or similar equipment./li/ulpstrongResponsibilities:/strong/pulliOperate Front End Loader in a safe and appropriate manner loading hoppers for processing equipment.nbsp;/liliOperate loader controls to lower and tilt bucket and drive forward to force bucket into bulk material; dump material safely and effectively into machine hoppers and load semi trailers./liliMove finished goods by operating a front end loader 966 or similar equipment.nbsp;/liliCheck condition of equipment; performs operations and safety check prior to using equipment; fuel vehicles/equipment; inspect and perform safety checks on vehicles/equipment; clean vehicles/equipment; report the need for repairs.nbsp;/liliDocument work performed and prepares records and reports.nbsp;/liliMay be required to train for fire response; may be required to respond to fires.nbsp;/liliIncumbent may be trained to operate any of the following types of equipment; front-end loaders, backhoes, dump trucks, pickup trucks, skip loaders, water trucks and other light, medium and heavy duty motorized equipment associated with the operation of the Facility.nbsp;/lili id="isPasted"Provide daily work assignments to crew./liliAssist with scheduling of crew members./liliMonitor crew members for safety violations./liliResponsible for keeping yard organized and safe, including placement of products within the yard./liliParticipate in employee coaching as needed./liliCoordinate with other Yard Leads to ensure smooth shift transitions./liliResponsible for training all new yard employees on safe work practices./liliReport any concerns with production, employees, and/or equipment to Yard Supervisor in a timely manner. nbsp;/liliMake recommendations for improvements and equipment needs or repairs./li/ulp id="isPasted"strongKnowledge of:/strong/pulliPractices, methods, techniques, tools and equipment common to the operation of a processing Facility, construction fields; operation, care and preventative techniques for Facility equipment and assigned power tools; Occupational hazards and standard safety practices and procedures related to the work; basic shop mathematics; basic business English; operation of motorized power equipment; Agency rules, procedures and practices governing the areas of responsibility./li/ulpstrongAbility to:/strong/pulliLearn and perform entry-level tasks in the operation of light, medium and heavy duty motorized power equipment; follow oral and written instructions; write simple correspondence related to the work; establish and maintain effective relationships with those encountered in the course of the work; use and exercise initiative in daily work activities; shop mathematics; read and interpret safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures, operational instructions and general correspondence related to the work being performed; handle stress in a professional manner./li/ulpstrongExperience:/strong/pul type="disc"liOne year of experience or the equivalent of training and experience in the use of hand and power tools, operation of light, medium and heavy duty motorized power equipment; light, medium and heavy duty equipment associated with construction, manufacturing facility maintenance or production.nbsp;/li/ulpstrongSkills:/strong/ppThe required skills for this position include proficiency in operating front end loaders, which is essential for performing daily tasks effectively.
