This may include ordering of materials, entering of databases and programming, creating and installing new software, and performing troubleshooting function of assigned jobs. This position coordinates with the Controls Team Lead on all assigned projects. /p pReports to: Controls Team Leadbr / Direct reports: Nonebr / Direction:/p ul liClose supervision/li liCoordinates with labor managers/li /ul p /p pstrongMAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:/strong/p pstrong40% Updates pertinent job-related information. /strong/p ul liDevelops project information (e.g., system and cabinet layouts, database, submittal cut sheets, etc.) using given software to meet sales intent of the project./li liGenerates RFIs (Request for Information) during project./li liIncorporates information from project blueprints, and specifications into submittal booklets./li liPrepares system overview of network layout./li liPrepares �as-built� record drawings and documents from data supplied by installation or operations personnel including graphical screenshots and printed programs./li liStays current with new software and changes to existing software. ul liStudies product manuals/brochures, etc./li liNavigates through vendor websites to gather documentation (i.e. Infolink, FPG, etc.)./li /ul /li /ul pstrong25% Assists with sales estimating on potential or current projects. /strong/p ul li ul liDetermines the time it will take to complete a task and is accountable to finishing projects on-time and under budget. ul liCorrelates labor and material pricing from sales team while meeting guidelines set by plans and specs./li /ul /li /ul /li liDetermines when change orders are necessary and generates pricing for additional work./li /ul p /p pstrong25% /strongstrongAssists with installation of controls jobs and projects. /strong/p p /p ul liAssists with startup, certification and project turnover, as required./li liAssists with installation of devices/controls on any project, as required. /li /ul pstrong10% Provides customer service and technical assistance to build and maintain customer relationships./strong/p ul liDevelops relationships with customer end users and decisions makers./li liPresents a professional image of Building Controls and Services when speaking to customers./li liActs as a technical resource to customers and other BCS staff./li /ul p /p pstrongQUALIFICATIONS:/strong/p pEducation/p ul liWorking toward bachelor�s degree in mechanical, electrical or architectural engineering. /li liTechnical training/li /ul p /p pSkills and Experience/p ul liMinimum one year of experience in engineering systems and/or systems service preferred. /li liStrong knowledge of automation systems, HVAC and electrical concepts and operations. /li liAbility to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals./li liProficient in using the engineering workstation, including full capacity of the AutoCAD drafting standards./li liProficient in using current Windows Operating System for workstation and server applications./li liExcellent oral and written communication skills. /li liMathematical abilities to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
