Brooklyn, NY/WilliamsburgbrSalary Range: $20.00/hr - $25.00/hrbrbrThe Senior Teller is responsible for processing financial transactions that range from basic to complex in nature, including but not limited to check cashing, large withdrawals, deposits, and loan payments, while delivering exceptional customer service. This position provides Apple Bank clients with information regarding our products/services and refers them to more experienced colleagues to provide suitable financial solutions. The Senior Teller is responsible for maintaining and balancing a cash drawer, listens to customers attentively, and escalates issues to branch management when appropriate. The incumbent provides guidance to newly hired Teller staff during their interactions with customers and complies with required policies and procedures to minimize risk and protect the financial well-being of the customer.p style="text-align:inherit"/pp style="text-align:inherit"/ppbESSENTIAL DUTIES amp; RESPONSIBILITIES/b/pulliProcess transactions that range from routine to advanced, including check cashing, larger withdrawals, deposits, and loan payments, in accordance with Bank policies and procedures./liliProvide exceptional customer service in a prompt, efficient, and courteous manner./liliUtilize advanced knowledge of Bank products and services to assist customers effectively./liliIdentify sales opportunities, promote suitable products and services by directing customers to the appropriate colleague within branch, meeting assigned referral goals./liliAssist in the training of newly hired tellers and acts as a mentor, providing guidance during interaction with customers./liliAssist the Supervisory Teller with the daily operations of the teller line; may assume role as required./liliComply with internal operational controls, including legal, corporate, and regulatory procedures, in order to minimize risk and protect the financial well-being of client; safeguard assigned cash and negotiable instruments./liliMaintain a cash drawer and follows proper balancing/reconciling procedures; prepare daily proof sheet at the close of business each day./liliProvide additional services, including the issuance of money orders, cashiers and travelers’ checks, and the exchange of foreign currency./liliPerform non-teller clerical duties on a periodic basis./liliAssist with the opening and closing of bank vault./liliAdhere to the Bank’s Code of Conduct./liliPerform other duties and tasks as requested./li/ulp/ppbSKILLS, EDUCATION, amp; EXPERIENCE/b/pulliHigh school diploma or GED required./lili1#43; years of experience in Teller function required./liliMust be customer service focused with strong listening skills, eliciting information, understanding customer issues/needs, and recommending solutions./liliDisplay strong knowledge of Apple Bank product offerings and services./liliStrong interpersonal and organizational skills required./liliExcellent communication skills (verbal #43; written)./liliDisplay courteous and friendly behavior./liliDetail orientated and able to function in a fast-paced environment./liliGeneral math and basic computer skills required./liliDisplay willingness to be cross trained on non-teller functions./liliSelf-motivated and ability to multitask effectively./liliDisplay sound judgment and discretion when utilizing confidential information./liliPossess strong work ethic, positive attitude./liliAbility to work weekends/extended hours and at neighboring branch locations when necessary./liliMandatory training may require occasional travel./liliAbility to stand for extended periods of time./li/ulp style="text-align:inherit"/pp style="text-align:left"Visa sponsorship not available./pp style="text-align:inherit"/pp style="text-align:left"iWe are an equal opportunity employer and do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, military and/or veteran status, or any other Federal or State legally-protected classes./i/p
