Overview: p style="margin: 0px;"strongLong Prairie Packing Company, LLC,/strong an American Foods Group Company has an opportunity for a strongCattle Accounts Payable/strong at our Long Prairie plant./pp style="margin: 0px;" /pp style="margin: 0px;"As strongCattle Accounts Payable,/strong you will:/pulliCompile all sale barn/owner information for USDA tests./liliPay Freight./liliManage Certificates of Insurance for trucking-keep updated and current./liliCreate 1099’s for end of year and verify 1099 information is accurate./liliBe responsible for AFG Purchasing and special cattle purchasing./liliVerify back tags, head count so correct sale barns and producers are paid appropriately./liliPrepare lots to be keyed, verify cow/bull receiving and knocking, matching barn line up./liliRevise the receiving that have estimated received weights. Record condemns./liliKey lots, check yields, review prices, build buys, cut checks./liliReconcile weights, grades, back tags from the scale and knock box./liliEnd of day reconciliation with scale, barn line up, making sure head count and weight balances, and that all Grade and Yield has buys./liliBe proficient in 10 key data entry./liliFinalize reports, forward emails to established coworkers./liliTeach and demonstrates company’s commitment to safety and quality of work./liliNOTE: this description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
