The Radiologic Technologist role is an opportunity for an x-ray tech to apply their skills in a pediatric urgent care setting and assist with primary patient care based on individual patient needs within their scope of practice under the physician’s direct supervision. This position maintains effective working relationships with all customers, including patients/families, physicians, employees, volunteers, and vendors.h2/h2p style="text-align:inherit"/ph2bDescription/b/h2h2/h2h2spanReceive a $3,000 sign-on bonus when you join us as a part time Rad Tech!/span/h2h2/h2h2Job Responsibilities:/h2ulliProvide clinical and administrative support for providers, patients, and office operations/liliObtain medical history, patient vital signs, and intake/liliPrepare patients for radiological procedures and take x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety/liliObtain quality diagnostic radiographs as requested by physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants/liliEnsure that all equipment is in good working condition and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations/liliMaintain and document daily quality control of radiology equipment at the start of shift/liliDocument repeat exposures and parent holding log with pocket dosimeter read/liliAssist in radiology quality assurance program for radiography equipment/liliImmediately report any equipment malfunctions to management team/liliHelps patients in distress by promptly notifying medical staff of emergencies/liliPerform collection of throat and nasal specimens and process samples for testing/liliAssist in processing of laboratory testing of patient samples and routine QA testing/liliApply splints, ace wraps and DME devices on patients/liliProvide patient with crutches and proper use education/liliBe an integral part of the patient care team/liliKeep exam and x-ray room stocked with adequate supplies/liliContributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed/liliMaintains operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes to management team/liliMaintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures/liliMaintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping patient care information confidential in compliance with HIPAA regulations/liliEnhances health care practice reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and challenging requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments/liliAssisting patients with complaints and taking an active role in service recovery when needed/li/ulh2/h2p style="text-align:inherit"/ph2Qualifications/h2ulliGraduated from Radiologic Technologist program/liliKnowledge of medical practice and terminology, clinic’s processes, and procedures/liliAbility to use sound reasoning and judgment and act calmly in emergencies/liliAbility to effectively communicate both verbally and nonverbally/lili Knowledge of digital imaging/liliKnowledge of electronic health records (eCW preferred)/li/ulp style="text-align:inherit"/pp style="text-align:left"bCompensation: /b/p$30 - $40/hourp/pp/ppThe salary/rate range listed here has been provided to comply with local regulations and represents a potential base salary/rate for this role.
