This role requires extensive travel (up to 75%) to various locations to act as a liaison between the pharmacy and customer facilities focusing on medication management and ensuring compliance with regulations. This role will assist in pharmacy operations, medication preparation, review medication storage, availability and accuracy and customer support. This audit encompasses every area of the medication room, including locked cabinets, stock areas, E-kits, and refrigerators./p p· Review medication storage, availability, and accuracy by comparison of MAR to the contents of the medication cart. Confirm correct medication labeling, review of expiration dates, and double check orders to ensure they are accurately transcribed to the MAR./p p· Visually inspect each medication dispensed from the pharmacy, and verify (according to pill shape, marking[s], and color) that the medication itself matches the medication identified on the prescription label./p p· Collects information needed to fill prescriptions from customers or healthcare professionals/p p· Measures, mixes, and labels medications under the supervision of a pharmacist/p p· Audits accurate prescription preparation and dispensing/p p· Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescription medications/p p· Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements/p p· Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers/p p· Process insurance claims and handle medication inquiries/p p· Ensure inventory control and proper storage of medications during transit/p p· Adhere to all safety and security protocols while transporting medications/p p· Communicate effectively with pharmacy teams and healthcare professionals/p p· Supervisory Responsibility: No/p h2Qualifications/h2 pEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/p ul liHigh school diploma or equivalent required/li liMinimum of 1 year of experience as a pharmacy technician./li /ul p /p pLICENSE/CERTIFICATION/OTHER SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS/p ul liPharmacy technician certification as required by state /li liValid driver’s license with a clean driving record./li liProof of current automobile insurance./li /ul p /p pKNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES/p ul liStrong organizational and multitasking skills./li liExcellent communication and customer service abilities./li liKnowledge of pharmacy laws and regulations./li liStrong attention to detail and accuracy./li liAbility to work independently and as part of a team./li /ul p /p pTRAVEL REQUIREMENTS/p ul liAbility to work independently and as part of a team./li liPercentage of Travel: up to 75%/li liReliable personal vehicle for travel/li /ul p /p p**To perform this role will require frequently sitting, standing, walking, typing on a keyboard with fingers and occasionally bending, reaching, and climbing (stairs/ladders).
