Accountable for daily operations and oversight of nursing practice and patient care delivery. Participates as a member of the health care team in maintaining continuity and quality of patient care. Contributes to organizational operations and supports the mission by fostering interdepartmental communication/collaboration. Demonstrates a high level of ability in leadership, supervisory skills, problem solving, patient advocacy and public relations. /pp/ppbuJob Specific Duties and Responsibilities/u/b/ppManages and evaluates the hospital clinical operations, programs and resources of the assigned clinical areas to assure the safe and appropriate delivery of care. Ensures that all activities are conducted in a timely and cost-effective manner and in compliance with organizational values, professional standards, internal policies and applicable regulatory requirements. Participates in the development of and implements new clinical systems/programs to enhance existing services and raise the standard of care for the patient population served. Oversees the resolution of daily clinical administrative and operational issues. Ensures all aspects of clinical operations are conducted and documented in compliance with relevant internal policies, standards/procedures, and applicable regulatory and accrediting body requirements. Participates in annual budget process, reviews revenues and expenses, completes Departmental Operating Reports (DOR) monthly. Participates, as a key member of the management team for the assigned clinical function, in the development of strategies, initiatives and programs addressing matters such as: provision of new services or programs, standardization of procedures across the organization, maximizing resources, improving cost-effectiveness of clinical services provided, enhancing patient outcomes/satisfaction and other issues of similar complexity and consequence. Participates in Administrator on Call (AOC) after hours call duties. Performs related duties as required./pp/ppbuOrganizational Responsibilities:/u/b/ppIn addition to the duties and responsibilities listed above, all employees are expected to support the Summit Pacific Medical Center mission, vision and values; comply with SPMC policies and procedures; and conduct themselves in an ethical, professional, respectful, and collaborative manner at all times./pp/ppbuRequired Education and Experience: /u/b/pulliMust be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, BSN or Bachelors#39; Degree in a related field is required. /liliThree years’ experience and clinical knowledge in the same or similar clinical specialty. /liliOne year in a nursing leadership or equivalent position required. /li/ulp/ppbuRequired licenses, Certifications and/or Registrations:/u/b/ppCurrent licensure as a Registered Nurse by the Washington State Board of Nursing. Certification in specialty area preferred.
