American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg position in Edmond, OK, requiring at least 1 year of experience and current AHA certifications.

  • Hospital Med/Surg unit (3rd/4th floor setting)

  • Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours per week)

Requirements\n
    \n
  • Active OK or Compact (eNLC) RN license required
  • \n
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
  • \n
  • Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
  • \n
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
  • \n
  • Proficiency in professional nursing theory, practices, and techniques
  • \n
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • \n
  • Basic computer skills required
  • \n
  • Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
  • \n
Additional Information\n
    \n
  • Responsibilities include managing an assigned patient group, documenting responses to nursing interventions, administering medications, and monitoring IV infusions and blood products
  • \n
  • Collaborates with physicians during examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
  • \n
  • Engages patients and families in care planning throughout the hospital stay and at discharge
  • \n
  • Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
  • \n
  • Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible for a new contract (prior travelers may only extend once, for a maximum of 26 total weeks)
  • \n
  • Compliance deadlines are strictly enforced — onboarding requirements must be initiated promptly upon acceptance of an offer
