Job Description
The Jackson Division of Gastroenterology is seeking a dedicated Board Eligible/Certified Gastroenterologist with ERCP certification to join a forward-looking GI hospital program supported by a full team of healthcare professionals. This vibrant facility is dedicated to providing excellent patient care while offering teaching opportunities and academic involvement. Job Responsibilities:- Provide both inpatient and outpatient services, including rounds and clinic duties.
- Manage a caseload of patients, with an average of clinic visits one day per week supported by Advanced Practice Providers (APP).
- Contribute to a culture of growth and development in response to increased patient needs.
- Engage with the Endoscopy Center and outpatient clinic located on the hospital campus, ensuring patient comfort and accessibility.
- Participate in academic teaching through the GME program.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of gastroenterology through successful completion of complex tasks.
- Maintain certification status and adhere to the credentialing process.
- Board Eligible (must become Board Certified within a year) or Board Certified in Gastroenterology.
- Fellowship-trained in Gastroenterology.
- 5-8 years of GI work experience preferred.
- Current COVID and flu vaccinations required.
- Experience with ERCP certification; proctoring may be available for qualifying candidates.
- Clean malpractice and license history.
- ITIL and/or PMP certification preferred.
- Must possess or be willing to obtain a Michigan medical license.
- BLS certification required (or willing to obtain).
- DEA and CSR/CDS must be obtained prior to start.
- Visa support available for H1B candidates only; J1 candidates are not considered.
