Physician Family Practice-Without OB - Competitive Salary

501 3(c), Federally Qualified Health Center providing health services to the underserved in the Southland Chicago communities.  We understand that a typical doctor’s visit extends far beyond the exam room.  That’s why our approach is to address the whole person.  Our care team includes assessing our patients physical, spiritual, emotional, psychological and financial needs.  We are currently recruiting for BC/BE Family Medicine physicians for outpatient only opportunity, no OB.    

Essential Duties will include:

• Performs physical examinations of new and existing patients and determines x-ray examinations and clinical laboratory tests required

• Interprets examination findings and test results and implements treatment plans

• Prepares and reviews case histories and obtains data through interviews

• Provides continuing, comprehensive health maintenance and medical care to the entire family unit, to include preventative medicine, behavioral sciences and community health

• Directs outpatient and inpatient care and services

• Determines the need for consultation and assists in medical care treatment provided at the direction of other specialists

• Instructs other health care providers and non-medical personnel in a variety of health-related topics, including first-aid measures, basic and advanced cardiac life support and health care maintenance
• Participates in the instruction of medical students and residents who participate in a clinical rotation of FCHC

• Provides care consistent with the quality standards of the organization, participates in peer review activities, and works with administration to reduce risk and maintain patient safety

• Performs other duties as assigned

• Conducts daily team huddles

• Works closely with Care Team to ensure preventive, chronic and acute care needs are being met
