SUMMARY
Karman Space & Defense is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Machine Shop Intern to support daily operations within our machine shop. This hands-on internship provides exposure to precision machining processes, tooling, equipment maintenance, and production workflows in a professional manufacturing environment.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Assist with setup and operation of manual and CNC machines under supervision
- Perform basic machining tasks such as drilling, deburring, and measuring
- Read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions
- Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Support preventive maintenance and tool management efforts
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Physical requirements of this position include: Standing and walking for extended periods of time throughout the work day, occasional use of stairs, and lifting up to 40 pounds
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
