Job Title: Plant Electrician
Location: Apple Creek, OH

Position Summary
The Plant Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems and equipment supporting manufacturing operations for plastic extrusion and paper/plastic tubing production. The role ensures safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations across all shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, controls, and equipment including extruders, winders, and associated machinery.
- Troubleshoot and repair motors, drives, PLCs, sensors, relays, and control panels.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals.
- Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and plant electrical projects.
- Ensure compliance with national and local electrical codes and plant safety standards.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to minimize downtime.
- Document work performed, update electrical drawings, and maintain accurate records.
- Support continuous improvement, energy efficiency, and reliability initiatives.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED; completion of a recognized electrician apprenticeship or technical school preferred.
- State electrician license or certification (where applicable).
- 3+ years of experience in industrial or manufacturing electrical work, preferably in plastics or paper converting environments.
- Strong knowledge of motors, drives, PLCs (Allen-Bradley a plus), and industrial electrical systems.
- Ability to work from heights, in confined spaces, and respond to emergencies as needed.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to safety.
