American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Orthopedics Med/Surg position at a Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated acute care hospital in Springfield, IL, working 3x12-hour night shifts.

- Acute care hospital setting — Level I Trauma Center and Magnet-designated facility with 562 total staffed beds \n
- 38-bed Orthopedics unit \n
- 13-week contract, night shift (18:45–07:15), 3x12-hour shifts per week \n
- Required to work every other weekend \n
- Floating is required for all travelers — may float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate facility \n
- No on-call requirements \n
- Charting via Cerner (experience preferred) \n
- Free parking available via permit obtained during orientation \n

- Active IL RN license required — pending licensure not accepted \n
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required \n
- BLS required (AHA or Red Cross accepted; RQI cards not accepted); ACLS preferred \n
- PICC line management and IV starts required \n
- Telemetry experience preferred \n
- Cerner EMR experience preferred \n
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred \n
- SSN and date of birth required for consideration \n

- First-time travelers are welcome to apply \n
- Local candidates are accepted with no radius restriction \n
- Any current or former permanent or PRN employee of the Memorial Hospital System must have been separated for at least 12 months before applying as a traveler \n
- Travel pairs are not accepted \n
- RTO of 5 days or fewer is generally accommodated; requests exceeding 5 days require facility approval \n
- Candidates must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays \n
- Scrub color: any solid color \n
- Block scheduling is not available for this position \n
