Contract Duration: 8 Weeks
Start Date: 08/03/2026
Shift: Night | 4x12 Hours (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)
Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend

Job Responsibilities\n
    \n
  • Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care to patients of all ages, from neonates to geriatrics, in a fast-paced Emergency Department.
  • \n
  • Perform rapid patient assessments, triage, and prioritize care based on patient acuity.
  • \n
  • Administer medications, IV therapies, continuous IV sedation, and monitor patients undergoing procedural sedation.
  • \n
  • Assess, interpret, and manage cardiac dysrhythmias while responding to medical emergencies.
  • \n
  • Care for critically ill patients, including those requiring ventilator support and advanced cardiac monitoring.
  • \n
  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, radiology, social services, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver quality patient care.
  • \n
  • Provide care for behavioral health patients within the department's locked behavioral health unit.
  • \n
  • Accurately document assessments, treatments, and patient outcomes in the electronic medical record.
  • \n
  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care.
  • \n
  • Maintain compliance with hospital policies, patient safety standards, infection prevention protocols, and emergency nursing best practices.
  • \n
Requirements\n
    \n
  • Active Massachusetts RN License (or eligibility for an emergency MA license).
  • \n
  • Minimum 2–3 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience.
  • \n
  • Previous travel nursing experience required (facility prefers 2–3 completed travel assignments).
  • \n
  • Previous Charge Nurse experience preferred.
  • \n
  • Trauma Level I experience preferred.
  • \n
  • Experience with:\n
      \n
    • Triage
    • \n
    • Ventilator patient care
    • \n
    • Continuous IV sedation
    • \n
    • Procedural sedation administration and monitoring
    • \n
    • Cardiac monitoring
    • \n
    • Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
    • \n
    • General Emergency Department (Adult & Pediatric) care
    • \n
  • \n
  • Current certifications:\n
      \n
    • BLS
    • \n
    • ACLS
    • \n
    • PALS or ENPC
    • \n
    • CPI (training available onsite if needed)

    • TNCC (Preferred)
