Overview:
Join a fast-growing, high-performance team at a leading provider of commercial roofing and exterior renovation services. With a strong regional presence and an expanding portfolio of industrial, institutional, and commercial clients, the company is seeking a dynamic Sales Executive to take ownership of a key territory.
This is a full-cycle B2B sales role where your consultative approach, technical understanding, and ability to close deals will directly impact your earnings and growth. You’ll work closely with leadership and field operations to deliver value-driven solutions to new and existing clients.
The Role
As a Sales Executive, you’ll be responsible for generating new business and growing existing accounts through strategic outreach and consultative selling. Reporting directly to the President, you’ll manage the entire sales process—from prospecting and inspection through to proposal, negotiation, and close. You’ll be supported by an experienced delivery team and a rich portfolio of completed projects to showcase results.
Success in this role looks like a healthy sales pipeline, consistent closings, and long-term client relationships.
Responsibilities
Sell commercial roof replacement and exterior building services to owners, facility managers, and general contractors
Manage full sales cycle: prospecting, site inspections, needs assessment, estimating, and closing
Use internal project data and CRM insights to identify re-engagement opportunities and upsells
Conduct cold outreach, networking, and relationship development to build a steady pipeline
Perform technical roof assessments and site visits (BUR, TPO, EPDM, PVC, metal systems, etc.)
Collaborate with estimators and project managers to ensure accurate scoping and seamless handoffs
Maintain consistent follow-up and communication throughout the customer journey
Track opportunities, forecasting, and reporting using CRM tools (Salesforce preferred)
Requirements
3+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in commercial roofing, construction, or building products
Strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a competitive market
Familiarity with commercial roof systems and ability to read construction drawings/specs
Skilled at managing a sales territory and executing a structured outbound strategy
Proficient in CRM tools (Salesforce preferred), Microsoft Office, and sales tracking systems
Excellent communication, negotiation, and client relationship management skills
Nice to Have
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
Prior experience conducting roof inspections or technical evaluations
Understanding of the local property management and construction landscape
Salary
Base salary: $85,000 – $105,000
On-Target Earnings:
Year 1 OTE: $150,000+
Year 2–3 OTE: $200,000–$250,000+
Top performers: $300,000+
Location
Hybrid role based in Virginia Beach, VA, Norfolk, VA, or Suffolk, VA, with regular travel across the assigned territory for site visits and client meetings.
