Job Description
Utilizes education and skills to provide a safe environment and quality care to all patients undergoing care in the facility. Coordinate personnel and staff to ensure coverage and safe patient care. Generally, a clinical Lead is the person responsible for the operational activities of a clinic.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Supports the operation task completion within the facility • Primary responsibilities include planning, directing, coordinating and providing high quality, safe, effective patient care in the clinical setting. • They schedule, coordinate, and direct the activities of clinic employees; often, they schedule employees' hours and delegate the tasks to clinic employees to perform. • Monitors performance and attendance on the floor and ensures compliance with company policies and procedures • Monitor employee activities to make sure they meet the standards of all applicable laws and regulations. • Act as a clinical resource person to all levels of staffing accomplishing care of patients while Give assistance to staff and/or direction to facilitate quality patient flow/care • Assess staff needs according to workload and staff competency. Re-assign and adjust staffing based on patient care needs • Give assistance to staff and/or direction to facilitate quality patient flow/care • Assist with QI, infection control, and OSHA programs as needed from management • Procurement/evaluation of equipment, supplies, and drugs for surgery center • The clinical supervisor may also be in charge of ordering supplies for the clinic, monitoring the clinic's inventory, and aiding and supervising the maintenance of any clinic equipment. Administrative duties are also common tasks for clinical supervisors. • Plan and notify Director of budgetary needs or requests for the center (including OR, staffing, Procedure rooms etc.) • Assume charge of Surgery Center when Director is absent • Performs other duties as assigned • Often clinical supervisors maintain clinic records, fill out clinic forms, and file timely reports. The clinical supervisor also oversees maintaining a high degree of patient care at the clinic, ensuring that patients have the best experience possible to help grow the clinic's client base.
