Role Overview:
The Operations Assistant Manager is responsible for managing, supervising, and overseeing warehouse and plant operations to maximize resources and productivity to achieve customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment for Tredit’s distribution and mounting facility. Will assist with management of employee and internal operation relationships and supervision to ensure a smooth, safe, efficient, and cooperative working environment for employees. Works closely with Tredit management personnel including Operations Manager and Customer Service. Duties may vary to include some or all the following job responsibilities:
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Oversee employees in the plant to ensure each plant process is staffed appropriately.
- Help in maintaining a positive atmosphere within the facility and actively promote unity between all departments (i.e. Sales, purchasing, production).
- Train new employees and work with temporary employees for day-to-day needs.
- Maintain focus on safety and adherence to policies that protect all employees.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures to help with increasing productivity and efficiency.
- Work with the managers to develop and provide a proper platform for delivering product successfully with timelines given effectively and efficiently.
- Oversee trucking plans and routes and assist with freight planning for our own internal trucks as well as third-party freight.
- Oversee and manage proper flow on the docks so that processes are efficient and effective while keeping the fast pace needed for incoming and outgoing freight.
- Monitor equipment, tools, and supplies to ensure machinery and tools needed are maintained properly and in good working condition.
- Review reports for incoming product and plan for material storage and delivery of incoming product between two different warehouses.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory values and adhere to Tredit inventory procedures.
- Communication of product movement between warehouses and assist with weekly cycle counts.
- Maintains safe work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, and maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.

Required Education/Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, business administration or related field strongly preferred. Equivalent years of experience taken into consideration.
- 5 years of experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 2 years within a management role.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and technologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data driven decisions.
- Knowledge working with Syspro or similar ERP software and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Strong proficiency in all Microsoft Software (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) and PDF software.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
- Self-motivated individual with strong organizational skills.
- Strong commitment to safety.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
- Capacity to handle prolonged periods of physical activity or sedentary work depending on job demands.
- Must be able to stand, walk and reach with hands and arms.
- Must be able to frequently use hands, talk or hear.
- Must be able to lift and move up to 50-75 pounds at times.
- The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
