***DDS Experience Required***
- Serve as a Management Team representative to the CRI Board of Directors in all matters relating to the business operations of the organization.
- Maintain positive working relations with funding sources, community representatives and other providers.
- Act as the liaison between the organization and the bank.
- In collaboration with Senior Directors of Adult services and the Senior Director of Children/Behavioral Health Services work with the Department of Children and Families, the Department of Developmental Services, the Department of Public Health, and the Connecticut Association for Nonprofits to ensure that CRI has the necessary funds, supports, and capacity to provide quality services to the adults and children it serves.
- Maintain a high level of adherence at all times to the Policies and Procedures of the Agency and professional service delivery practices.
- Make recommendations to the CEO & Board of Directors concerning new or improved programs, systems, financial prospects and operating procedures.
- Provide support, supervision and direction to the CFO, the Budget Director, the Director of Operations.
The Senior Director-Business Operations Is Directly Responsible for the Following:
- In collaboration with the CFO and the Director of Budgeting, ensure the development of program budgets, Operational Plans, annual Outreach/CRI audit, Consolidated Operating Reports (COR), DSS Cost Reports and monthly financial reports, in order to ensure that all Agency and Individuals' funds are monitored and appropriately accounted for.
- In collaboration with the Senior Director-Human Resources, develop a benefits package that meets the needs of the employees of the agency and is financially compatible with the agency budget.
- In collaboration with the Director of Operations ensure that all agency vehicles and properties are maintained in an appropriate and cost-effective manner. Ensures that agency personnel have equipment, supplies, and computers necessary to do their job in an efficient manner.
- Ensures the development and implementation of strategies and procedures for efficient fiscal operation of the agency, establishing strong internal controls as well as a computerized system for fiscal management.
- Ensures the development and coordination of an accounting system which interfaces with the COR and DSS requirements.
- Ensure that all state reporting deadlines are met per the agency's contractual obligations.
- Present all financial reports for CRI/Outreach to the Board of Directors.
- In collaboration with assigned staff, develop Operating Procedures that facilitate the efficient operation of the Agency.
- Monitor systems that ensure that all staff are hired, paid, evaluated and separated in a manner that meets the regulatory requirements of the Agency, State and Federal Government.
EDUCATIONAL/PROFESSIONAL RREMENTS
A Master's Degree in a Business or related field with five years' experience in management, accounting, or business administration. Related professional experience may be substituted for part of the educational requirements.
