POSITION SUMMARY
To perform this job successfully, the Senior Accountant will be an integral part of the Accounts and Finance team, responsible for assisting the Director of Finance in all phases of accounting at our East Coast Factory.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Works closely with the Director of Finance and assists with month-end financial close and reporting.
- Prepares journal entries to account for business activities with accuracy, timeliness and completeness, supported by proper documentation and calculation, and in compliance with the generally accepted accounting principles.
- Assist in Bill of Material (BOM) and production routing setting
- Maintains confidentiality of financial data and transactions.
- Responsible for managing the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, managing vendor relationships, and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Performs intercompany billing.
- Performs monthly general ledger account reconciliation.
- Performs monthly bank reconciliations and follow up on outstanding items.
- Track capital expenditure and prepares monthly capital expenditure report by first 2 working days of the month following month-end close.
- Monitors fixed asset tagging status and perform annual fixed asset counts through coordination with other business units.
- Participates in physical inventory count and prepare count report.
- Handles audit requests and budget preparation.
- Monitors and provides back-up support for accounts receivable, accounts payable or daily accounting operations as assigned in accordance with business needs.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no direct reports, but may carry out supervisory responsibilities on behalf of the senior leadership team in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. EDUCATION, SKILLS and EXPERIENCES
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- At least 5 years of progressive accounting experiences.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, and solid experience with financial accounting and general ledger.
- Profound knowledge of Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) is required; working knowledge and experience of accounting software and ERP systems preferred; SAP experience highly preferred.
- Fixed asset experience is highly preferred.
- Must be organized, dependable, punctual, professional; able to multi-task and prioritize accordingly to meet deadlines.
- Able to work independently in cross-functional teams to achieve established goals.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- The individual must possess excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills in English.
- Bilingual skill in spoken and written Mandarin Chinese would be helpful for the individual to communicate with headquarter overseas.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
- The individual must be able to apply mathematical concepts such as probabilities and statistical inference to forecast annual sales and budget.
- The individual must apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
