IT Systems Administrator

Baton Rouge, LA: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Systems Administrator to support the reliable operation, maintenance, and performance of IT infrastructure across multiple sites. This position is responsible for managing backups, supporting hybrid email environments, maintaining physical and virtual server systems, and deploying key system tools, all while ensuring uptime, documentation, and compliance with IT policies.

Essential Duties:
• Create and restore system, database, and configuration backups to support daily operations
• Support hybrid email systems (On-Premises and Online), including migrations, maintenance, and backups
• Maintain and support both virtual and physical server environments
• Install, maintain, and support digital signage, antivirus software, ticketing systems, and error reporting tools
• Monitor and maintain Tier 2 Data Center and remote office IT equipment
• Provide telephone system support, including scripting and troubleshooting
• Schedule and deploy patches, upgrades, and firmware updates for all IT equipment
• Design, configure, and install new physical and virtual servers, including related software
• Deploy and support network infrastructure: WAN, LAN, Wi-Fi, VPNs, firewalls, and related troubleshooting
• Size, configure, and maintain UPS systems including battery replacement and troubleshooting
• Assess and recommend upgrades for remote office IT infrastructure
• Document security and administration processes and create/update departmental policies and procedures
• Provide support for IT-supported software products and hardware
• Maintain departmental efficiency and compliance with standard IT procedures and practices
• Complete additional tasks as directed by the IT Manager
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance

Requirements/Skills:
• Working on or completed Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• Experience with Microsoft products
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Windows OS, Microsoft 365, Azure, and EntraID
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell and Regular Expressions
• Familiarity with:
- Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, IIS, SharePoint, SQL Express, MS Exchange
- TCP/IP, SCCM, Linux, VMware, Hyper-V
- Router and switch configuration, firewall setup
- Security best practices, Wi-Fi, and 802.1x
• Basic knowledge of electrical, digital, RF, and electronic theories
• Strong technical vocabulary for effective troubleshooting and collaboration with external vendors
• Understanding of equipment lifecycle and personnel coordination

• Occasional: Reaching (Outward & Above Shoulder), Squatting, Kneeling, Bending, Lifting 11–50 lbs

• Not Required: Climbing, Crawling, Lifting over 50 lbs, Pushing/Pulling over 26 lbs
