Assistant Manager (Restaurant)

Our Dairy Queen Off of Central & 125th Ave in Blaine, MN is looking for an Assistant Manager to join our team!

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily restaurant operations during scheduled shifts, ensuring that standards for product and service quality, cleanliness, sanitation, and speed of service are met or exceeded.
• Assist in executing the restaurant's business plan, including managing inventory control, ordering products, cash control, and optimizing profits by controlling product and labor costs.
• Ensure that all Dairy Queen PRIDE systems and routines are incorporated into daily operations.
• Respond promptly and effectively to customer complaints to resolve issues and maintain customer satisfaction.
• Assist in hiring, training, coaching, and developing shift leads and crew members, establishing performance expectations and conducting performance reviews.
• Prepare hourly employee schedules to meet staffing requirements for different day parts.
• Assist with local store marketing activities, such as public relations programs, evaluating competitors' marketing, and tracking consumer demands.
• Ensure that food safety and restaurant safety practices are being followed, including proper handwashing, product rotation, temperature logging, and maintenance of a safe facility environment.

Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of previous experience as a manager in a previous role
• Must be willing to possibly undergo a background check if necessary
• Must have reliable transportation
• The ability to multi task
• Must be ok with working with a younger crowd
• Must be able to use a standard POS system
