Camp Door Monitor - Before and After School Program

Responsible for maintaining constant surveillance of the camp entrances/exits/hallways and surrounding area. Greet visitors and report potential hazards to the Camp Director.

• Monitor entrances of Before/After-School Programs.
• Responsible for ensuring parents sign-in and sign-out their children daily.
• Prevent individuals from entering the building without approval.
• Prevent children from leaving the building without permission.
• Assist parents/guardians in picking up children.
• Communicate effectively with parents, supervisors, students, and school leadership.
• Other duties as assigned.

Reports to the Camp Administration.

• High School Diploma or GED

Required orientation within five days of hire:

• Review the camps Emergency Action Plan and the schools Emergency Codes and Procedures.
• Abusive Head Trauma video. (Successfully completed)
• Child Maltreatment Training Video. (Successfully completed and renewed every two years)
• Mandated Reporter Training. (Successfully completed and renewed every two years)
• DPI Medication Training Video. (Successfully completed, demonstrates skill every year, and renewed every four years)
• An active WI Registry Profile linked to the assigned Camp Program

Required trainings within 90 days / three months of hire:

• Current CPR/AED certification (successfully completed and renewed CPR/AED certification

• 2+ years of experience in a security position preferred
• Crisis, Prevention, and Intervention Training preferred

• Ability to solve problems effectively.
• Ability to communicate effectively with parents, staff, and children (ages 3-12 years).
• Possess qualities of patience, flexibility, understanding, acceptance, and caring.
• Enjoy working with children.
