Position Summary:

Hanson Companies is seeking a detail-oriented and versatile Estimator to support our production operations through accurate drafting, inventory cycle counts, bill of materials (BOM) improvements, and quality control tasks. This role is ideal for a candidate with a mix of CAD drafting skills, ERP experience, and a practical understanding of manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drafting:
  • Create and update basic CAD drawings for manufacturing and assembly.
  • Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and production teams to ensure accurate and current documentation.
• Inventory & BOM:
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies in ERP.
  • Identify and implement improvements in BOMs to reflect real-world production needs.
  • Assist in maintaining item master data in the ERP system.
• Quality:
  • Support quality assurance efforts including inspections, documentation, and reporting.
  • Assist in tracking non-conformances and implementing corrective actions.
  • Maintain and help develop standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Cross-Functional Support:
  • Liaise between production, purchasing, and engineering to ensure smooth information flow and process consistency.

Qualifications:

• Experience with a manufacturing ERP system (e.g., JobBOSS, Epicor, NetSuite, etc.).
• Basic CAD drafting experience (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

• This position can be full-time or part-time, depending on the candidate’s experience and availability.
