Maintenance Mechanic - 1st Projects

1. ** Responsibilities:**

• Understand and follow all safety procedures.
• Must have general knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical devices.
• Install, maintain and repair piping systems.
• Fabricate parts, weld, cut and install metalwork.
• Operate shop equipment such as welders, pipe threaders, drill presses, saws and small hand tools.
• Read & interpret documentation such as blueprints and manuals.
• Operate a forklift, scissor lift and boom lift.
• Plan and organize individual work.
• Have and maintain proper hand tools.
• Maintain good housekeeping throughout the plant and shop.
• Must have good communication skills and be able to work well with others and their partner.

Skill/Education Requirements:

• High school diploma/GED and Technical School Diploma

• Be able to lift thirty pounds over their head at least 4 times in 8 hours.

• Must be comfortable working from heights that require harness and fall protection devices.

• Must be comfortable working in confined spaces.** **
