Role:

The primary responsibility of the Stamping Die Set-up Operator is to ensure stamping dies are properly set up, aligned, and adjusted to produce high-quality components that meet safety, quality, and productivity standards. Operators in this role are expected to perform all duties in alignment with The Triton Way, upholding professionalism and pride in every part produced.

Stamping Die Set-up Operator Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and install progressive, line, or transfer dies in stamping presses according to production requirements
  • Perform accurate die alignment and test setups to ensure parts meet specifications
  • Read and interpret blueprints, setup sheets, and technical drawings
  • Conduct first-piece inspections and adjust press settings as needed to ensure quality output
  • Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and die carts safely during changeovers
  • Assist in troubleshooting and basic maintenance of dies and presses
  • Maintain detailed records of setups, adjustments, and run data
  • Follow and enforce all safety protocols, including use of PPE and lockout/tagout procedures
  • Collaborate with team members, tool & die personnel, and supervisors to resolve issues quickly and maintain workflow
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area that reflects Triton standards

Requirements:

  • Experience in a stamping or metal fabrication environment preferred
  • Dependable and motivated work ethic
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of press operations
  • Strong sense of accountability and pride in workmanship

Qualifications / Skills:

  • Ability to read labels, safety warnings, setup instructions, and part drawings
  • Basic computer literacy for documenting setup and production data
  • Detail-oriented and safety-focused at all times
  • Ability to communicate clearly with team members and supervisors
  • Physically capable of lifting, standing, and working in a manufacturing environment

6 am - 4 pm
2- 10-minute breaks
20-minute lunch
