Physician Assistant/ Nurse Practitioner

We are currently hiring for Ojai Valley Medical Group, which is part of the Rancho Health MSO affiliate network. Rancho Health MSO is an award-winning practice that specializes in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Women’s Health, and Geriatric Care. As a fast-growing and well-respected private practice in Southern California. the role of our physicians is to examine and treat patients of all ages and sexes, ensuring proper injury care and disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. Physicians prescribe and administer medications, perform routine vaccinations, and provide guidance on personal health and hygiene. They also request necessary tests, coordinate follow-up visits, and refer patients to specialists as needed.

Description

• Full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Primary Care.
• Full-time is 40 hours per work week.
• Competitive salary.
• Providers see approximately three patients per hour.
• EHR: EPIC – Riverside Area
• EHR: Athena – Ventura Area
• Telemedicine appointments available.

Required education and experience: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required.

Minimum Education (or substitute experience) required:

• Board certification.
• Active and unrestricted California PA/NP medical license.

Minimum Experience Required:  

• Board certification/eligibility.
• License/Certification: Active and unrestricted California Medical license. (Required)

Minimum Knowledge and Skills Required: 

• Bilingual Spanish or other language preferred but not required.
• EMR: Athena, EPIC, ECW
• Strong understanding of examination methodologies and diagnostics.
• Excellent knowledge of infectious diseases, their symptoms and epidemiology.
• Broad knowledge of common medication, side effects and contraindications.
• In-depth knowledge of legal and best medical guidelines and medicine best practices.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Respect for patient’s confidentiality.
• Compassionate and approachable.
• Responsible and trustworthy.

Expected Hours of Work

• Full-time physician in family practice (30-40 hours per work week).
• Providers see approximately three patients per hour.
• 4 or 5-day work week options.
• Schedule: 8-9.5-hour shift.
• Call schedule up to 4 weeks per year with Saturday morning coverage required.

Work location:

Travel – Travel for meetings is expected about 3-5% of the time.
