Lead Cook

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Lead Cook to join our culinary team. You will be on the ground floor with us as we venture into a new kitchen concept, focusing on timely and consistent cook-to-order of our delicious delivery menu. The Lead Cook will be responsible for ensuring high-quality, accurate food preparation and menu execution, maintaining food safety standards, delegating tasks to other employees, and aiding in the overseeing of kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional and quick service. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about venturing into a new realm of modern food service. The ideal candidate will also have prior experience in launching a professional kitchen.

Duties

-Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service.

- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu plans.

- Ensure all food handling practices comply with safety and sanitation regulations.

- Train kitchen staff in cooking techniques, food safety, and proper use of kitchen equipment.

- Monitor food quality during preparation and presentation to ensure high standards are met.

- Collaborate with management to develop new recipes and improve existing offerings.

Qualifications

- Proven experience as a cook in a professional kitchen, preferably in quick order operations.

- Strong knowledge of food handling, safety regulations, and culinary techniques

- Proficiency with kitchen equipment, including knives, fryers, and cooking tools.

- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong communication skills to effectively lead the kitchen team.

- Culinary degree or relevant certifications are preferred but not required.

- A passion for creating delicious meals and providing exceptional and speedy customer service
