Supervisor, Print & Mail Services


What You'll Do
As a Supervisor, you promote efficiency and productivity in a fast-paced collaborative environment. You provide day-to-day supervision of Print Mail and Messenger Services. You are also responsible for personnel, equipment, supplies, and administrative tasks associated with meeting operational goals and ensuring all contractual and non-contractual requests are completed on time according to SOW’s and all other contractual obligations.


Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Assigning daily work functions to staff to provide required services to all customers contractual and non-contractual for print and mail receipt and delivery.
  • Planning, Organizing, Directing, and Controlling services provided to Print and Mail customers through delegation of assignments to staff and follow-up to ensure tasks are accomplished on time.
  • Cross-training staff to ensure all departmental goals can be met.
  • Coordinating with the Manager as needed to ensure the needs of the Banknote Print and Mail center are met.
  • Recruit, interview, and select staff based on contractual requirements; provide training to staff as needed.
  • Provide performance improvement plans as needed with staff in writing.
  • Identify and anticipate any workload concerns such as missed deadlines or equipment failure, staffing issues or supply deficiencies and formulate a plan of action with the Manager to inform customers of any delays.
  • Responsible for following and ensuring all Fedcap protocols, policies, and codes of conduct are being met for yourself and staff.
  • Required to follow directives or operational objectives set forth by your Site Manager or above.
  • Communicate any complications or concerns effectively and immediately regarding staff and vehicles and equipment outages.
  • Responsible for responding and following up on email, verbal,l and phone conversations with vendors, customers, and internal and external customers promptly.
  • Work with corresponding support personnel for all print and mail software updates or work changes including USPS, BCC, and Pitney Bowes to ensure and minimize interruption, delays, and to minimize downtime.

You're a Great Fit If You Have

  • A High School Diploma or GED.
  • 3 years of minimum experience in Mailroom Fulfillment Operations.
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience with the Supervision of 5 – 10 people.
  • Basic knowledge of Planet Press and BCC postal software.
  • Experience in logistics assignments for messenger services.
  • Experience operating mailroom equipment: mail meters, printers, folders, inserters, and sealers.
  • Knowledge of US Postal, FedEx, and UPS regulations.
  • Experience using Canon, Ricoh, Xerox, Quadrant, Konica-Minolta, and Pitney Bowes
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, Outlook, Adobe, InDesign, and Fiery Command for Print output.

Compensation:

  • $27.00 - $28.00 per hour, depending on experience
