About The Position
Wellhart is seeking a skilled Family Practice Nurse Practitioner for a 104-day locum tenens assignment at a clinic in Texas. The position starts on 08/11/2025, with a schedule of 3 days per week, including Mondays and Fridays, plus one additional day (Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday). Working hours are typically 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM CST. The NP will focus on hormone replacement therapy, thyroid optimization, weight loss, metabolic support, and various wellness-focused consultations. Responsibilities include conducting video consultations, interpreting advanced labs, developing personalized care plans, and managing patient follow-ups through an EMR system.

Responsibilities and Duties:
• Conduct initial consultations and new patient lab reviews via video
• Review and interpret advanced labs (GI-MAP, Methyl Detox, ALCAT, hormone panels)
• Develop personalized care plans including lifestyle, nutrition, and supplementation
• Manage asynchronous follow-up care via EMR platform
• Educate patients on test results and coach on health optimization
• Complete all documentation in EMR (CHARM/CANVAS) within 24 hours
• Provide concise, functional medicine-informed SOAP notes
• Communicate with support staff to coordinate care
• Prescribe and manage bioidentical hormones, peptides, and nutraceuticals
• Monitor patient response and adjust dosing as needed
• Collaborate with compounding pharmacies and support teams
Additional Information:
• Alaska medical license required
• Experience in hormone replacement therapy and functional medicine preferred
• Strong communication skills for effective virtual consultations
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
