Other Details: A full-time or part-time gastroenterology physician (MD/DO) is needed for locum tenens coverage due to turnover and vacancy, with an immediate start and an end date to be determined. The role primarily involves call coverage from 7 a.m. to 7 a.m., 1 to 2 weeks per month, with an average of 4 calls per 24 hours, approximately 2 hours for rounding, and about 1 hour of call-back time. While call coverage is the main priority, opportunities for OR block time and outpatient procedures are available, with preference for providers experienced in moderate sedation and open to performing outpatient scopes two days a week. Full and temporary privileges are available, and the position requires a board-certified physician with BLS certification, NY DEA with the appropriate address for moderate sedation, and proficiency in colonoscopy and EGD. Support is provided by a team of registered nurses, medical assistants, advanced practice providers, and office staff.
