This includes participation in existing statewide collaborative implementation and scaling structures, including:/ppnbsp; nbsp; nbsp;1) facilitation of or membership on statewide development and delivery teams;/ppnbsp; nbsp; nbsp;2) providing technical assistance focusing on needs assessment, implementation, and evaluation of instructional efforts;/ppnbsp; nbsp; nbsp;3) using implementation science to support scaling and implementation efforts./ppbr/ppParticipate on Department internal teams to integrate statewide (Department of Education, Area Education Agencies, local districts/schools, accredited nonpublic schools, and other stakeholder groups) efforts related to mathematics instruction within a multi-tiered system of support (MTSS). This work includes helping to establish consistency in information and resources related to explicit and systematic instruction, direct instruction, specially designed instruction (SDI), and other evidence-based instructional approaches used with students diagnosed with dyscalculia or those that demonstrate characteristics of dyscalculia, math deficiencies, and students with IEPs, and the relationship between these approaches and those used with all students./ppProvide guidance related to implementation of explicit and systematic instruction as part of interventions for students diagnosed with dyscalculia or who demonstrate characteristics of dyscalculia, struggle with math, and students with IEPs, including staying current on both federal and state requirements, and communicating to Iowa stakeholders the implications and connections for students./ppMaintain professional competency through review of professional research, on-site visitation of programs and continuing education activities. Participate in professional activities of Bureau, Division, Department, and national and state organizations.
