pstrongspanJob Summary:    /span/strong/p pspanProvides food and beverage service to guests in an efficient, courteous, and professional manner as well as in compliance with the Gaming Enterprise Division’s (GED) and departmental policies, procedures, and standards as well as applicable laws and regulations./span/p p /p pstrongspanDuties and Responsibilities (specific areas of responsibility include but are not limited to):/span/strong/p ol lispanOffers warm and sincere welcome/farewell to all guests using a guest’s name, when possible, and making good eye contact./span/li lispanEnsures place settings are appropriate and each place setting has a napkin, clean silverware, and any other item that is part of the standard place setting at start of shift./span/li lispanChecks, cleans, and fills empty condiment containers at start of shift./span/li lispanTakes orders for food and beverages, including alcohol,span and communicates the orders to kitchen staff and bartenders, as applicable/span./span/li lispanAnswers guest questions about menu items and the ingredients in cocktails; makes recommendations regarding menu selection as well as cocktails or specific brands of spirits. /span/li lispanDelivers food and beverages spanensuring plating and presentation standards are maintained/span./span/li lispanAssists in the preparation of drink orders, as required, performing tasks such as icing glasses and garnishing drinks./span/li lispanMonitors guest consumption of alcohol and intervenes, as needed, according to established guidelines. /span/li lispanResponds to guest needs by providing continuous service until their departure./span/li lispanAssures accuracy of sales data and cash handling, including balancing of assigned bank./span/li lispanProcesses credit card and cash transactions./span/li lispanRedeems scripts, vouchers, coupons, and receipts for service and/or products./span/li lispanIdentifies and resolves discrepancies in a timely manner./span/li lispanGenerates sales volume in a courteous and timely manner./span/li lispanControls point of sale inventory./span/li lispanPerforms accurate and thorough departmental records and reports as assigned./span/li lispanCreates a comfortable, pleasant atmosphere for guests by being friendly and engaging in conversation as time permits./span/li lispanResolves guest and team member complaints in a pleasant and professional manner./span/li lispanMaintains cleanliness of work areas throughout the shift practicing clean-as-you-go procedures. /span/li lispanFollows established safety and security policies and procedures including reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions immediately to a supervisor./span/li lispanEnsures uniform and personal appearance is clean and professional./span/li lispanFosters a team environment by collaborating with co-workers./span/li lispanDisplays initiative and ability to work with a minimum amount of organizational, planning, and time management skills./span/li lispanGood communication and guest service skills./span/li lispanSkill in working courteously with guests as well as developing and months money-handling experience or pass a job-related test./span/li lispanMust either possess or obtain a valid Food Handler’s card OR SERV Safe certification AND an Alcohol Awareness card within three (3) months of employment./span/li lispanMust demonstrate knowledge or ability to learn and retain menu information, including preparation and ingredients of all items, and must successfully pass a fine-dining service audition /span/li lispanMust be able to lift forty (40) pounds, with or without a reasonable accommodation./span/li lispanMust have excellent guest service skills and ability to work in a fast-paced atmosphere./span/li lispanMust be reliable and dependable./span/li lispanMust be able to work any shift, weekends, holidays, special events, and overtime, as needed./span/li lispanMust be able to work in a smoking environment./span/li lispanMust have employment eligibility in the U.S./span/li lispanMust be able to obtain, maintain, and retain a valid gaming
